About Us

Crossroads is a unique educational institution located in the Longmont, Colorado area, standing out among other Longmont private schools. Since opening its doors in August of 2010, Crossroads has aimed to support middle and high school students who have faced challenges in traditional educational settings or find that public and private schools in Longmont do not adequately meet their needs.

The Need

High school dropouts in Colorado incur significant costs to society, over a lifetime of public subsidies or income support. Many students who are expelled from school are too young to enter the workforce, leading them to 'fall through the cracks' and become involved in negative behaviors. Research indicates that 50% of these youths may end up incarcerated within a year. In today’s global economy, a college degree is essential for obtaining a well-paying job, making the consequences of dropping out of high school particularly dire, especially for working parents who struggle to earn a sufficient income to support themselves and their families. Crossroads offers hope for a brighter future for these at-risk teens.

The Mission

The mission of Crossroads School is to assist students who have experienced academic and behavioral challenges in traditional schools to achieve their potential through a uniquely tailored, learner-appropriate program. Crossroads is dedicated to fostering an environment conducive to growth and responsibility by developing individualized strategies for every student.

Crossroads has a vision to transform the future of at-risk teens: to provide an alternative source for solid education, to grant second and sometimes third chances to students who require extra support, and to deliver an educational experience that equips students with the foundational tools necessary for a successful future.

Notice of Nondiscriminatory Policy as to Students

Crossroads School welcomes students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally available at the school. It does not discriminate based on race, color, national, and ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. Crossroads stands as a leading option among public and private schools in Longmont CO, committed to inclusivity and excellence.
